Koreas Kospi Crashed 43.9%, Then Had Its Best Day Ever [kfIMnWMxGgI]

Nearly half of Korea's stock market value vanished in six weeks. Then it came back in a single day. On July 27, China's largest DRAM maker CXMT listed in Shanghai and closed its debut up 466%. At about $487 billion it became China's most valuable listed company, worth more than Samsung, SK Hynix or Micron. A day later Reuters reported China had begun producing its own immersion DUV lithography machines, the tools that etch circuits onto silicon. Korea's Kospi slid from 9,385 in June to 5,262 in July, a 43.9% drop. Circuit breakers halted trading on July 28 and 29, the first back-to-back halts in exchange history. Then US cloud earnings landed. Microsoft posted 43% Azure growth on a $678 billion backlog. Amazon reported 37% AWS growth and lifted 2026 capex from $200 billion to $220 billion, citing memory costs. On July 31 the Kospi rose 17.91%. For US investors the signal is not the bounce. Memory pricing now sets hyperscaler budgets, and China just showed it can build both the chips and the tools. 💾 Bookmark this for later! 💬 What's your take on this? 🔔 Follow @TechNews.InClicks for daily tech news! #Semiconductors #DRAM #CXMT #Kospi #AIInfrastructure 📌 Sources: Reuters, Fortune, The Korea Economic Daily, Benzinga
