Chased Out By Oregon Wildfires 🔥 Kicks [ZuMS3xCVPdQ]

Weve been through insane lightning and dust storms in Texas, Tornado like winds that blew the blocks right out from under our camper stabilizers in Ohio, damaging hail in South Dakota, and even acid rain in Yellowstone after Steamboat erupted and yet nothing compares to experiencing Oregons wildfires.

When we first arrived in central OR the green ridge fire was burning a couple miles northwest of us. Shortly after that one was contained its seemed the whole state burst into a blazing furry. Although we were still about 20 miles from Lionshead the intense smoke and hazardous air quality is unlike mateta anything Ive ever experienced.

A few days ago some of the fire crew came around and warned us that they might have to potentially close the camping area. They were moving an additional 1,500 men and equipment in and possibly would need the extra space.

We were already planning on moving because of deteriorating conditions and had set off in the morning to find a new spot. We return to find they had indeed issued everyone to leave and we scrambled to pack up and head out.

It was a tad stressful as we had no idea where we were heading. Our southwest plans have been foiled either by covid or the fact the entire west coast is up in flames. We headed out going east and found a nice quiet spot to camp for the next few days and figure out our game plan. Its still smokey but rangers vs hibernian not as intense as where we left.

The entire camper smells strong of wildfire smoke but were so thankful that unlike so many others who lost everything we can just pick up and roll when things get bad. Over 500,000 Oregonians were forced to evacuate and many have nothing to return to.

This is a wildfire season unlike any other. Please keep our firefighters and the many others suffering in your candace parker thoughts and prayers!
