🔴 LIVE Rangers vs. Cardinals TEXAS IN TOWN! - Play by Play & Reaction | Game 60 of 162 [djGliJf5oY5]

The St. Louis Cardinals (31-26) this evening take on the Texas Rangers (28-31) in the first game of a three game series at Busch Stadium. Coming off a series victory against the Cubs over this past weekend, the Cardinals seek to turn their attention to Texas, who is certainly more talented than their current third place standing in the AL West would suggest. Going for the Redbirds this evening is their de facto ace, RHP Michael McGreevy (3-4, 2.98 ERA). McGreevy so far in 2026 is pitching beyond what many in executive baseball circles believed possible for the 25 year old. Moreover, McGreevy is coming off his toughest outing so far in 2026, going only 4.0 IP and allowing 5 earned runs against Milwaukee. The Texas offense he faces tonight is capable of scoring runs in bunches, to say nothing of who McGreevy shares the marquees with tonight for the Rangers. Taking the ball for the Texas Rangers tonight is none other than RHP Jacob deGrom (3-4, 3.77 ERA). At 37 years old, deGrom is not the fireballing demon on the mound that he was in his youth. In 2026, deGrom is slightly more than a full run above his career ERA numbers (2.62 ERA). Yet is still very imposing with his ability to strike out opposing hitters in large numbers. While he may not be entirely the deGrom of old, he will likely make game one of this series difficult for the Cardinals' offense. Will the Cardinals build off their series win against the Cubs from this past weekend? Can they get to a still very capable and challenging Jacob deGrom tonight? Join Paul D. for every out, with the start time tonight scheduled for 6:35 PM CST. Catch it all right here, on Bombers Game Mic! #stlcardinals #livestream #playbyplay #mlb #texasrangers #nlcentral
