Severe storms are possible for Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky Tuesday evening into the overnight hours. Currently, those along and north of I-40 are in a level 2/5 risk and those south of I-40 are in a 1/5. Damaging wind is the primary concern, but a tornado or two can't be ruled out. Timing looks to be late Tuesday 5 p.m. through Wednesday 2 a.m. A heat advisory is also in effect for most of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky through 8 p.m. Tuesday. An excessive heat warning is in effect for our western counties in Middle Tennessee and northwestern counties in Southern Kentucky.
