You voted, and here she is!! Diamonds are a girls best friend! And that movie was proof of it. It has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. The fashions, the dreamcast of actors, and the music! In commemoration of Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday, I decided to dedicate a doll to her. And not just any doll, my childhood Marilyn doll. The doll was in such bad shape, and admittedly so I played with my dolls till they were ready for the trash. Luckily, I have a few tricks up my sleeve and was able to turn her into a new Marilyn doll. One to be forever admired! The decision to make her in this outfit wasn’t easy, as she’s had so many iconic looks. But it’s one that I immediately think of when I think Marilyn, and it’s an outfit currently I didn’t have a doll in. From dying the fabric, sewing it, to making her jewelry and accessories, this doll did keep me busy. It’s this kind of busy work I find fun however and I’m so happy to share my hard work here with you! I’d like to make this into its own series since she was so much fun to do.
